Beef giant Minerva Foods is to pay 7.5bn reais ($1.51bn) for a clutch of cattle slaughtering and deboning plants from Brazilian meat-processing peer Marfrig.


The levy India has implemented on its onion exports due to high domestic prices. The tax is set to be in place until 31 December.


Nestlé plans to invest Rs42bn ($505.2m) in India between 2023 and 2025. Part of the expenditure will go towards the company’s new food factory in Odisha, set to be its tenth in the country.
