DEFLECTA® is driven by innovation to provide enhanced, ecological, and sustainable concrete protection solutions.

DEFLECTA® is an Australian owned manufacturing company that supplies penetrating and topical products for concrete.  Our flagship product DEFLECTA ANTIMICROBIAL® is certified and registered by the Australian Government (APVMA), to kill 99.99% of bacteria/pathogens such as Golden Staph, E. coli, Listeria and Salmonella for a minimum of 5 years – also assists with curing when it is applied at the time of the concrete pour.  Our products are Low VOC with Green Star Green Building Council of Australia, Green Star Design & As Built certification and our key products are HACCP International approved and certified as food-safe floor and wall surface treatments.

The companies research, development and testing are critical factors for DEFLECTA® in developing innovative products in response to ever changing market conditions and construction methods, both in the Australian and Overseas markets.

BACTERIA CONTROL
DEFLECTA ANTIMICROBIAL® is applied at the time of concrete pour or on aged concrete and acts as a preventative measure to kill bacteria on the concrete surface and within the matrix of the concrete, followed by an application of DEFLECTA SURFACE BINDER® or DEFLECTA TOPEL®, to seal the concrete floor, prevent surface dusting as well as increasing the strength and abrasive surface resistance.

DENSIFIERS/SEALERS

DEFLECTA TOPEL® is applied to the concrete surface as hydrophobic and densifying surface sealer, that increases both density and surface hardness, to dust proof the concrete and decrease permeability to water. This product will not alter the appearance of the treated surface area.

DEFLECTA TOPEL-OTM is applied to the concrete surface as an oleophobic and densifying surface sealer, that increases both density and surface hardness, to dust proof the concrete and decrease permeability for oils.  The treated surface area will have a low sheen finish.

DEFLECTA TOP COAT® is applied to the concrete surface as a densifying surface sealer, that increases both density and surface hardness, to dust proof the concrete, increasing wear with a surface gloss finish. The treated surface area will have a low sheen finish or become high gloss when buffed.

MOULD CONTROL/COLOURED SEALER

DEFLECTA MULTI SEALER® is applied to the concrete – mortar – putty as a coloured concrete surface sealer to further prevent moisture ingress mould growth and adds long term benefit by its satin finish providing a high-end quality aesthetic appearance.

A two-part application system was developed by DEFLECTA® for Food and Beverage facilities across the Asian market, particularly for humid locations where mould is an ongoing problem. The process first requires the application of DEFLECTA ANTIMICROBIAL® for bacteria and moisture control on the surface and within the matrix of the cementitious materials. This is followed by DEFLECTA MULTI SEALER®, a coloured surface sealer with antibacterial / antimould actives to control mould growth. This system has been applied in many trials within South East Asia’s food processing facilities since 2015, proceeding to completed projects using this interrelated structure. These products are assisting with bioburden reduction, cleaning protocols, and hygiene within the environment of the facility.

DEFLECTA® concrete bacteria control solution is designed for concrete surfaces in manufacturing, production, warehousing, and assembly line environments.

All DEFLECTA® products begin with a raw in-house formulation within our R&D division and after extensive tests and trials, these products progress to independent testing. Once these products have demonstrated their efficacy for either bacteria control, moisture suppression, surface density, slip resistance, water, or oil repellences they are then released to the market.

All independent registrations and certificates have their respective importance within the construction industry, for architects, engineers, epidemiologists and to the client/owner of new or existing facility environments and requirements.
